Is this your ticket into GABS?

Expressions of interest are now open to emerging breweries or beer brands on the eastern seaboard to be a part of the next GABS Festival in their state.

Every year, four new or emerging breweries each from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are sponsored to showcase at GABS in their home town.

Part of the GABS Cares Program, this is a fully sponsored opportunity for the selected breweries who will be offered an allocation of two taps on the shared Up & Coming Brewers Bar stand.

Curly Lewis, Buttons Brewing and Freshwater Brewing were among the up and comers last year.

Josh Roberts, owner of Buttons Brewing, said: “We were honored to be pouring beers at GABS in 2022 as a part of the “Up and Coming Brewers” bar. We have attended the festival for years, but this was the first time we were on the other side of the bar. We had a great time, and made a lot of contacts with people from all over the country which was very valuable for our growing business. We look forward to attending again in 2023 and visiting some new Up and Comers!

And Freshwater Brewing have gone on to greater things, opening their new brewpub earlier this month.

“GABS Cares is a natural extension of GABS, we passionately care about all craft breweries, big or small. Together with partners Hop Products Australia (HPA), Bar Barons and Kegstar, we are thrilled to bring this initiative to life!” – Mike Bray, GABS Craft Beer Festival.

Importantly, the successful breweries will also receive up to 20kg of the highest quality Aussie, international or innovative hop products from HPA to help them to craft a sensational beer for the GABS Festival in their capital city.

“The team at HPA take real pride in growing Aussie hops for breweries, big or small. Brewers are at the heart of everything we do, and it’s a pleasure and a privilege to be there from the beginning, supporting their endeavour to make awesome beers that bring people together,” Owen Johnston, Head of Sales & Marketing, HPA.

It is a great opportunity for brand building, attracting new customers and meeting other brewers at one of the best beer festivals around. Brewers enjoy all the benefits of being an exhibitor at GABS.

The Bar build is provided by Bar Barons and kegs for use at the festival are provided by Kegstar.

Any new, emerging or contract brewery that launched after 1 January 2019, has never exhibited at GABS Festival before and is planning to launch, or already retailing in the same state as the festival is invited to apply.
